Meet Our Director,
Ms. Perez
Hello, my name is Yaritza Perez, though I am affectionately known to our community as "Ms. Perez." It is an honor to serve as the School Director of St. Mark Christian Preschool, a role I have proudly held since 2021.
I firmly believe that robust communication is the cornerstone of student success, which is achieved by fostering strong partnerships between parents, administration, and teachers. My primary responsibility is to recruit and retain the highest caliber of educators because they directly impact the success of our children. Our staff is not only fully qualified and certified, but they are also deeply hardworking, dedicated, and nurturing individuals. I am incredibly excited to embark on this educational journey alongside you. It is a true joy to witness how much our students grow during their time with us, filling our days with meaningful learning, exploration, and wonderful adventures.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in New York City before relocating with my family to Puerto Rico, where I lived for 21 years. In 2013, I made Palm Coast, Florida, my home. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. In 2019, I was blessed with my wonderful daughter, who is my greatest joy.
I have dedicated over twenty-three years to working with young children. Even from a young age, I knew my ultimate career calling was to become a school principal. To continue supporting our community at the highest level, I will continue to pursue my master’s degree in Elementary Education. I look forward to a wonderful year of partnership and growth with your family.

Enrolling Is Easy
Most families go from first call to first day in less than a week. Here's how it works.
1. Take a tour
Visit us, meet Ms. Perez, and see the classroom your child would join. Bring your child — we want to meet them too.
2. Confirm your spot
After the tour, let us know you're in. We'll hold a place in your child's age group while you finish paperwork.
3. Complete the enrollment packet
We'll give you a short packet at the tour or email it to you. You'll need your child's current immunization record and physical form from your pediatrician, plus a list of anyone authorized to pick up your child.
4. Start your first day
We'll schedule a start date that works for your family and walk you both through drop-off. Many families do a shorter first day to ease the transition.
Using ELC, VPK, or the Daytona State College scholarship? Bring your approval paperwork and we'll handle the rest with the agency.

Choosing childcare is a big decision. Here are quick answers to the questions we hear most, and a full list if you want to dig deeper.

Is VPK really free? Yes — free for every Florida 4-year-old, 9:00–12:00. Wraparound Care is available for a fee.

What ages do you take? Birth through age 12, including after-school and school-break care.
